Please understand that we cannot possibly answer every question concerning your model train set or your true to the original prototype. Our staff that answers the technical hotline are all highly qualified technicians and well trained product specialists, however they cannot be a substitute for the specialized dealer in your town or your own studies to plan the track layout to mention only one example.
Are you well prepared?
Have you checked whether you really need to reach the technical hotline? Before you pick up the phone we have one suggestion: So that our staff can help you quickly and efficiently it does help to prepare a little for the call. Even better: You are sitting beside your train, set paper and pencil in hand to be able to take notes that might come in handy later. Hop aboard ! Direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC)? Which controlto use andwhich componentsare you choosing? Can you see an Item number under the locomotive? Now that we are prepared with the most important information, nearly all problems that occur during the programming and operation of digital components can be solved in only a few minutes. In most cases there is just a conflict between the individual configuration variables (CVs) - and with a guided Decoder-Reset over the phone one can quickly hear "And she is moving again"; How can I open the chassis of the locomotive? Can I retrofit the coach with an interior lighting system? All that are questions that are exactly at the right address at the technical hotline and we strive to answer them to the best of our knowledge. Or you have general questions about spare parts? You are at the right address!
Busy again?
Finally a last little hint when to best reach the technical hotline: Most callers try to get through at the beginning and towards the end of the hotline calling hours. You are much better off to try to avoid these high volume times and you will get connected much easier.
