The current-conducting frog
On several points, the current-conducting frog ensures good electrical contact
when running through frog area of the points.
These points cannot be "slipped" through whilst set in the wrong direction, otherwise this can cause a short circuit. Therefore, the points must always be set in the right direction.The polarisation of the frog, in other words, the changing from
"positive" to "negative", which is essential as the points are set, is carried out
automatically when setting the point.
