The 70 083 was the last locomotive of the type BR70 of the DB. The Bundesbahndirektion in Nürnberg decommissioned the loco in 1963 and transferred it then to Munich. The loco had been a technical monument for 40 years in Mühldorf at the river Inn and then was put into operation again in the year 2005 by the Bayerische Lokalbahnverein.
