In 2009 the great composer Joseph Haydn was not only on everybody's tongues - or maybe better said in everybody's ears: it also marked the 200 year Anniversary of his death and many events, concerts and exhibitions commemorated this great spirit. On August 14 2009, the Taurus locomotive "Joseph Haydn" that was launched by the Modelleisenbahn GmbH and the Gysev-Raaberbahn, had its first rollout in Linz. The 1047 504-4 commemorates from then on the musical genius, featuring on one side of the locomotive Haydn's portrait with a cello and on the other side of the locomotive the Austrian and Hungarian banner, as an indication of his creative peak in the Austrian state of Burgenland and at the court of the Esterházy family.

The highlight: Optionally the model can play extractions of melodies of the great master. Information about the history of the locomotive is also added to the package.
