The prototype is the electric locomotive Re4/4 II of the Swiss Federal Railways. The Re 4/ II are universally usable locomotives and accordingly can be seen in front of passenger and freight trains. The locomotives of the Re 4/4 II series are with 277 machines the largest number of traction vehicles of the SBB and were commissioned from 1964 until 1985. All locomotives are equipped with a multi control system.
