The 75 units of the type Bpmbdzf 296 (originally type Bpmbdzf 297) are pressure-tight, air conditioned and have sliding plug doors and open seating configurations. In contrast to the coach type Bimdzf 271 the longitudinal strengthening beams have aerodynamic skirts.
