The new Nightjet is the first FLEISCHMANN model (Art. No.: 6270065) to feature an innovative electric magnetic coupling. This ensures perfect power transmission inside the whole coach set.
After the pilot series, the decision has been taken to equip the DC version (Art. No.: 6260065) with magnetic couplings, too. In this case, however, the couplings are not electric. The couplings are very easy to connect and guarantee perfect linking and a coherent appearance of the train. To put emphasis on the exact reproduction of the interiors in the small scale, lighting PCBs are used that are perfectly adapted to the different coaches.
True to the original, the five coaches of the 7-part set differ in several details.

• Control car with a great number of details and separately attached plug-in parts
• Mini Cabins reproduced with several differences for greater variety (e.g.: open and closed doors)
• All coaches with magnetic couplings
• End vehicle with NEM shaft facing the locomotive 

Applies only to 6270065:

• All coaches with interior lighting
• In digital operation with switchable interior lighting, lighting of the driver's cab and long distance light

This project is progressing well, and a few days ago, pilot production took place at the plant in Gloggnitz (AT). Its purpose is to get a running sample and to control all parts for fitting accuracy, quality and a correct visual appearance. The result already looks impressive.
